About the Salient Achievements of the Department:   The Centre for Studies in Biotechnology was established by Dibrugarh University in collaboration with Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Lahowal in the month of September 2005 to impart quality education and constructive research in the field of Biotechnology. The Centre is aimed at generating adequate competent human resource with cutting edge expertise to satisfy individual and institutional needs and also to become a leader in biotechnology education in the country. The Centre has well equipped classrooms, and Library/ internet facility at Dibrugarh University and laboratory facilities at RMRC, Lahowal. The students are taken care by efficient and highly specialized faculty. The unique syllabus for the various courses has been prepared in accordance with the syllabus of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and other top Universities. Strong industry linkage ensures hands on training in different national level labs and industries. Learning resources in the form of books and other e-resources are available through the DBT funded Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility. The Centre holds record of 100% placement of the previous bath students in different national level institutes and in reputed biotech companies.
